Buckwheat tea, or soba-cha, is most frequently consumed in Japan for its rich nutty roasted flavor, as well as for its nutritional value. Buckwheat no relation to wheat; it is the seed of a fruit related to rhubarb. High in B vitamins as well as antioxidants such as ruin, Buckwheat tea is high in potassium that helps regulate water balance in the body, and fiber that keeps the digestive tract running smoothly. Buckwheat protein isolate, found in the buckwheat tea, fights obesity by flushing out the system and treating hypertension.
Taste: Roasted buckwheat berries, and has a delicious nutty, malty flavor.
Brewing Guide: Use about 2 grams (2 teaspoons) for every 300 ml of water. Steep in boiling water for 4 minute for the first brewing. Or you can eat it as-is! It’s great on top of salads or creamy soups.
