Chamomile makes a pleasant aromatic tea with a fruity flavor, enhanced by sugar or honey. It is often sipped for relief of health problems ranging from toothache to nervousness. Chamomile has also been noted as beneficial for soothing headaches and is a natural relaxing herb known to assist the restless and those suffering from insomnia.
In many circles Chamomile is called night night tea or sleepy tea on account of its natural properties which promote restfulness and drowsiness. It is also known to assist digestive disorders by settling the stomach and calming the nerves.
Taste:
Very delicate and appealing aroma. The taste is slightly sweet, clear and very refreshing.
Brewing Guide:
Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use around 4 to 5 flowers (2g/0.07 oz) for every 225 ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 90°c (194°F) to 95°c (203°F) for 2 to 4 minutes, or until the liquor turns light yellow. Serves well hot or cold.
