The Graceful Beauty of the East - Wood Ash Glaze
A rebirth of withered grass.
Wood ash glaze is made by finely grinding the ash left after burning plants and
grasses.
After firing for up to 15 hours at a high temperature of 1330°C, it develops a
jade-like warmth and smoothness.
Its color is restrained and subtle—pure, calm, and gently rich.
The body carries a faint gray tone, adding a sense of rustic elegance,
inviting quiet contemplation and lasting appreciation.
